Why Oven-Baked Fries Are so GOOD!
Oven-baking fries is a healthier alternative to deep-frying, as it uses less oil and reduces overall fat consumption (and we don’t mean the good kind of fat!) . Additionally, oven-baked fries are packed with essential vitamins and minerals like potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc and Vitamin B6, making them a nutritious snack that can benefit your overall health.
Health Benefits of Russet Potatoes
Russet potatoes are one of the most popular types of potatoes and for good reason. Not only are they incredibly versatile, serving as a key ingredient in many dishes, but they also provide numerous health benefits.
For starters, russet potatoes are full of essential vitamins and minerals that contribute to overall health. They contain a decent amount of vitamin C, which helps promote healthy skin and boost immunity. They also contain a significant amount of potassium, an important mineral for regulating blood pressure and helping the body to absorb essential nutrients.
In addition to these vitamins and minerals, russet potatoes are high in fiber. Eating foods that are high in fiber can help to keep you feeling full longer, making it a great choice for those trying to watch their weight.
Lastly, russet potatoes are a good source of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates provide sustained energy throughout the day rather than a quick burst like simple sugars.
